Genoveva Umeh was born on May 8, 1995, in Enugu, Nigeria, to parents Gaius Umeh, a computer engineer, and Ifeoma Umeh, a nurse. She spent her early years in Nigeria, attending primary school at Command Children's School, Enugu, and started her secondary school at Command Day Secondary School, Enugu.
When she was 12, Genoveva moved with her family to the United Kingdom in 2006. She continued and completed her secondary school and A-levels at St Marys C of E High School in London.
