Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck is a Nigerian rapper and songwriter born on 18th October 1993 to Igbo parents from Enugu State, Nigeria. He was born and raised in Lagos State, Nigeria and got the stage name “Odumodu” in his junior high school. At the age of 17, he and his family made the decision to move to Abuja, where they settled.

Education

Odumodublvck attended Christ the King College in Gbagada, Lagos for his junior high education. He later pursued tertiary education at the University of Lagos where he studied Mass Communications and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Music Career

Odumodublvck started his music career in 2016 upon the encouragement of his brother, Agunna. His first single was released in 2017. He is known for his stage performances, genre-blend, and the portrayal of the Igbo people’s traditional hat in his performances. Odumodublvck is part of the hip-hop collective known as Anti World Gangstars. He is signed to NATIVE Records in partnership with Def Jam.

Odumodublvck's discography includes several singles and albums. His notable works include a joint studio album with B.O.C Madaki, titled The Drop, and a follow-up single, “Picanto”, featuring ECko Miles, and Zlatan, which debuted on Nigeria's TurnTable Top 100 chart.

Odumodublvck recently released a new song called "Declan Rice" which was inspired by the football player of the same name. The song coincided with Declan Rice joining Arsenal Football Club as a newly signed player.

This transfer broke a record for Arsenal, as they paid £105 million for Rice's move from West Ham United. To introduce Rice as their new player, Arsenal shared a video on Twitter with Odumodublvck's catchy song "Declan Rice" playing in the background. The rapper also took to social media to congratulate the footballer. 

Odumodublvck hit single “ Declan Rice” was featured as a theme song on official signing post of Declan Rice. The post has gathered about 11 million views in 2 hours and still counting representing Nigeria as a whole on the map.

On 8 December 2022, Odumodublvck was awarded the Next Rated Artist at the Galaxy Music Awards. As part of the prize, he received a new Lexus IS 350.

Odumodublvck comes from a polygamous family and is the only child of his mother but has six (6) siblings from his stepmother-2 brothers and 4 sisters. He currently resides in Abuja, Nigeria. Currently, Odumodublvck is not in any form of romantic relationship.

Odumodublvck's parents, Mr and Mrs Ojogwu, hail from Enugu State, Nigeria. His father is deceased while his mother is still alive.

In 2022, Odumodublvck, the talented artist, made a significant milestone in their career by securing a record deal with NATIVE Records in collaboration with Def Jam. This partnership marked an exciting chapter for Odumodublvck's musical journey. NATIVE Records is a UK-based Nigerian label owned by NATIVE Networks, founded by Chubbziano and Teezee, co-founders of The Native magazine.

Odumodublvck has performed at several notable events. On 26 March 2022, he performed at the Jameson Connects concert alongside DRB LasGidi, and Vict0ny in Abuja. He was also announced on the lineup of the Vertical Rave concert's opening acts, set to be held on 17 December 2022.
