Cina Soul, born Christie Quincyna Quarcoopome on May 3, 1996, is a prominent Ghanaian singer-songwriter and performer. Recognized for her enchanting vocals and genre-spanning musical style, she has captivated audiences both locally and internationally. Also known as Cina Soul, she rose to fame as a finalist in the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Icons competition, showcasing her immense talent at a young age.

Early Life and Education

 

 

 

She was born and brought up in Kokomlemle, Ghana, and Accra, with strong ties to Jamestown. Belonging to the Ga Tribe, Cina completed her junior high school at Deyoungsters International School and continued her senior education at Aburi Girls Senior High School. Continuing her academic journey, she pursued studies in psychology and archaeology at the University of Ghana.

 

 

 

Career

 

 

Cina Soul's musical journey took off with her participation in the Vodafone Ghana Music Icons competition in 2014. Although she emerged as a finalist, it marked the beginning of her musical endeavors. In 2016, she released her debut album, "Metanoia," featuring collaborations with M.anifest, Worlasi, and KiDi, propelling her into the spotlight. Notably, singles like "Awo" and "Julor" gained popularity and secured her a position on music charts.

 

Engaging in philanthropy, Cina Soul actively participated in the Black Girls Glow Project, contributing to the album "Mother of Heirs" in 2017. Her notable performances at the Allianz Awards, "Ghana Goes Germany," and the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards further solidified her presence in the music industry. Additionally, she hosted her own concert, "Metanoia X."

In 2018, Cina Soul released her single '00:01,' attracting the attention of Universal Music Group, which subsequently signed her. This collaboration marked a significant milestone in her career.
