Mark Angel, a popular Nigerian comedian known for Mark Angel Comedy, recently shared a heartfelt message on social media that garnered widespread attention. In his post, he revealed that he lost a staggering $3.7 million (N5.7 billion) in forex, a loss that stemmed from placing his trust in the wrong people.

Mark Angel opened up about how this financial setback led to the loss of nearly all his properties to loan sharks, leaving him feeling as if his life was unraveling. Despite the overwhelming challenges, he credited a strong support system for helping him navigate this difficult period.

Reflecting on the situation, Mark Angel also addressed comments from Denilson Igwe, a former colleague who criticized him on a podcast. He stated that God had revealed the true intentions of those he once considered friends.

In his emotional post, Mark wrote:

"The year 2024 started like any other, but it became a test that broke and ultimately reshaped me. It was the year I lost everything. Trusting the wrong people in forex wiped out over $3.7 million. Only my family and closest circle knew the burden I carried. The debts piled up, and I watched as loan sharks took away my properties. It felt like my world was crumbling, and at my lowest point, I contemplated ending it all. But God... His mercy kept me alive to share this story. He sent angels into my life when I needed them most."

He expressed deep gratitude for the people who stood by him during these trying times:

"Blessing, who became like family, never gave up on me. My pastor and his wife were unwavering in their prayers and guidance. My daughters, Victoria and Mila, reminded me of life’s beauty, even in pain. Mandy, my ex-wife, extended unforgettable kindness. My son, Schoolboy, showed incredible strength. And Bright, my social media assistant, was a pillar of support when I felt I might collapse."
