His early years, filled with exposure to diverse genres and guided by the influence of his elder brother M.I Abaga, set the stage for his musical journey. Despite pursuing studies in purchasing and supply at Kwara State Polytechnic, Jesse's true passion resonated with his artistic calling.
Jesse Jagz made his mark in music in 2003, gaining prominence when he joined Chocolate City in 2010. Releasing his debut album, "Jag of All Tradez," that same year, he demonstrated his versatility. In 2013, after parting with Chocolate City, he founded his own label, Jagz Nation. The albums "Jagz Nation, Vol.1: Thy Nation Come" (2013) and "Jagz Nation Vol.
Despite a brief return to Chocolate City in 2015, Jesse's independent spirit prevailed, leading to his departure before releasing the fourth studio album, "Odysseus," in 2017.
