Ken Erics Ugochukwu, popularly known as Ken Erics, is a Nigerian Nollywood actor, writer, producer, and musician. He was born on February 28, 1985, in Kano State, Nigeria. As the sixth child in his family, he grew up in Enugu-Ukwu, a small town located in the Njoka Local Government Area of Anambra State in the southeastern part of Nigeria.

Education 

Erics attended primary school at Binta Mustapha Science Nursery and Primary School". After completing primary school, he went on to Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) in Onitsha, Anambra State for his secondary education. Even as a young child, Erics displayed a strong interest in the arts. This passion led him to pursue a degree in Theatre Arts at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Anambra State. He successfully graduated from the university and later obtained a master's degree in Theatre and Film Studies.

Career

Ken Erics embarked on his acting career in 2001 while he was a freshman at the university. His debut was in a movie titled 'Holy Prostitute' directed by Chris Ubani which was released straight to DVD. He played a small part as a medical doctor. After graduating, he continued to pursue his passion for acting, attending auditions and landing some minor roles in various movies. However, his breakthrough came in 2012 when he played "Ugo" in the movie 'The Illiterate', earning him widespread recognition and opening up more opportunities in the Nigerian film industry.

In addition to acting, Erics is also a published writer. His first work, 'Cell 2', has been widely recognized and used in several Nigerian universities for academic purposes and stage productions.

Erics is also a part-time musician, playing the guitar and keyboard, and has even led his own band. He has contributed to the production of multiple original movie soundtracks.

His acting career has seen him sharing the screen with some of the top stars in the industry, including Ngozi Ezeonu, Yul Edochie, Desmond Elliot, Chiwetalu Agu, and Regina Daniels.

Ken Erics, was once married to a stunning lady, Onyi Adada. their marriage ended in divorce in 2019. Ken stated that their relationship had become unbearable, leading to their decision to part ways. Onyi leveled some serious accusations against him, claiming that he was secretly gay and had a hidden boyfriend. She also alleged that he mysteriously left their home for seven months without giving any reasons. Onyi even mentioned an incident where she tried to be intimate with Ken, but he allegedly assaulted her. Ken, however, categorically denied these allegations, terming them as false and harmful. The couple divorced after just one year of being together.
