Dennis Nana Dwamena, popularly known as KiDi, was born on August 18, 1993, in Accra, Ghana. Renowned for his contributions to afrobeats and high-life, KiDi is a singer-songwriter affiliated with Lynx Entertainment.

Early Life and Education

 

 

 

KiDi, whose real name is Dennis Nana Dwamena, is from Accra, Ghana, and has a Kwahu heritage. Unfortunately, he lost his father when he was only 7 years old and has two younger brothers named Phillip and Elliot. KiDi started his education at St. Anthony's School in Accra for primary education and continued to Accra Academy for his secondary education. Later on, he pursued a degree in Economics and Information Studies at the University of Ghana Legon, completing his studies in 2016.

 

 

 

Career

 

 

KiDi shifted from studying Economics to making a significant mark in Ghanaian music. His breakthrough came in 2015 when he won the MTN Hitmaker competition, leading to a contract with Lynx Entertainment. Hits like "Say You Love Me" and "Odo" played a crucial role in establishing him as a star. KiDi has shared the stage with renowned African artists and earned accolades, including the 3Music Awards and VGMA 2022.
