Omawumi, born to Chief Dr. Frank and Mrs. Aya Megbele, commenced her educational journey at Nana Primary School and later attended the College of Education Demonstration Secondary School. Graduating with a law degree from Ambrose Alli University in 2005, she ventured into the legal field in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Not only did she study French at Alliance Francaise, but she also tied the knot with Tosin Yusuf on January 13, 2018.
Omawumi gained widespread recognition as the 2007 runner-up on West African Idols, a reality TV show under the Idols franchise. Since then, she has graced the stage with notable musicians and released albums like "Wonderwoman" (2009), "The Lasso of Truth" (2013), and "In Her Feelings" (2019).
