Yonda, born into the Adetunji family in Lagos, grew up in the mainland part of the city. Hailing from a Christian background, he discovered his musical talent as a teenager and began composing lyrics during his secondary school years. Yonda obtained his First School Leaving Certificate and West African School Certificate from reputable schools in Lagos.

Musical Career

Yonda's journey to success took a turn when he crossed paths with music star Davido in 2017. Impressed by his talent, Davido signed him to his record label, DMW. Yonda's official debut single, "Las Vegas," released in January 2017, marked the beginning of his rise. The remix of the song, featuring Burna Boy, further solidified his presence in the industry. His breakthrough came with the hit single "Bad Girl Riri," featuring label mate Mayorkun.

In 2018, Yonda continued to make waves with collaborations on popular songs like "Aje" and "Red Handed." He achieved further success with the release of his EP, "Wild Blue," in December 2020, garnering over 1.1 million streams within a week.
